Why LSU star Angel Reese is calling on WNBA to expand

Angel Reese is about to enter her senior year at LSU.

The basketball star has her eyes set on the WNBA even before LSU.

The basketball phenom opened up about her aspiration to become a WNBA player after graduating from LSU.

"A lot of people don't see female basketball players being able to do both," Reese said.

She's hopeful that the WNBA can evolve to accommodate an incoming class of newcomers like her and Iowa star Kaitlin Clark.

Reese and the Tigers won the program's first NCAA women's basketball national championship in April, defeating 

"I hope there are more teams so everyone gets a chance," Reese said.

Reese said that “there are a lot of great players and they currently only have 144 (roster spots) in the league. I want the WNBA to grow."
