With this match, the Norwegians reached the knockout stage of the Women's World Cup.

The Philippines' first innings in the tournament came to an end as Norway scored quickly, scoring three goals in the first 31 minutes.

Norway and New Zealand were tied in Group A but Norway progressed on goal difference.

Roman Hogg once again put the ball into the net in the sixth minute of the match and scored again 11 minutes later.

Roman Hogg got the Norwegians off to a strong start which swung the result in their favour.
