Justin Herbert's record-setting new contract is a 'dream come true' for Chargers QB

The Los Angeles Chargers' first training camp practice has come to a close.

At the conclusion of this camp practice, Justin Herbert did what many players around the NFL do.

The quarterback signed autographs for his fans, for which the line was very long.

The Chargers quarterback is about to sign a record-setting five-year, $262.5 million contract.

The contract would lock him in with the franchise through the 2029 season.

Herbert said that "I am very grateful to the Chargers organization and the Spanos family,"

Herbert compiled 14,089 passing yards and 94 touchdowns to only 35 interceptions.

Herbert said, “I think it's a very responsible role as a quarterback. I am looking forward to that challenge.
