Denver Broncos' Eyioma Uwazurike suspended indefinitely for betting on NFL games
Another NFL player Iyoma Uwazurike has been suspended indefinitely for betting on sports.
Denver Broncos second-year defensive lineman Eyoma Uwazurike will miss all of the upcoming season.
The earliest that Eyoma Uwazurike can apply for reinstatement is July 24, 2024.
A league investigation found that Iyoma Uwazurike had bet on NFL games during his rookie season.
For a player in the league to bet on an NFL play, the player is suspended for at least one year.
Players are allowed to bet on other sports when they do so away from their team stadium.
The team said in a statement that it learned of the news on Monday and will continue to provide tools and education to members of the organization to comply with the league's gambling policy.
Uwazurike is the seventh player suspended indefinitely by the league this offseason for betting on games in 2022.
