Daniel Weinman wins record $12.1 million top prize at World Series of Poker

Daniel Weinman of Atlanta emerged victorious at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas on Monday.

Daniel Weinman took home $12.1 million and the coveted championship bracelet.

Steven Jones finished second behind Daniel Weinman, winning $6.5 million.

Adam Walton finished third after Steven Jones, collecting $4 million.

This year's event opened with 10,043 players competing for a total of $93.39 million.

Daniel Weinman said that "to be honest, I was hesitant about even coming back and playing in this tournament."

Daniel Weinman needed only 164 hands at the final table to win the Main Event at his 16th attempt.
