Brian Harman dominates field at British Open for first career major

Brian Herman capped the success with a stellar performance.

The 36-year-old Hermann produced one of the most spectacular performances in the history of the championship.

Harman won the British Open Sunday by six strokes at the Royal Liverpool in Hoylake, England.

Herman shot a 1-under par 70 to end his weekend and finish at 13-under par for the tournament.

"I feel like that's what won me the golf tournament," Herman said in the interview. “I didn't really think about winning the tournament until I hit the last bunker shot.

Harman entered Sunday with only two wins in his career on the PGA Tour.

Herman has finished in the top 10 five times this year.

Herman's last win was 2,258 days ago at the 2017 Wells Fargo Championship.
