Ashleigh Gardner

Allrounder Ash Gardner was quick to impress everyone right from the start of her playing days, topping the runs tally at Cricket Australia’s Under-18 Championships in January 2015 and leading New South Wales to the title, also rightfully claiming Player of the Championship. To add to her growing list of titles, she also won Player of the Tournament at Imparja Cup 2015. She subsequently traveled to Dubai with the Commonwealth Bank Shooting Stars to take on England Academy. Gardner made her T20I debut for Australia in February 2017 against New Zealand, with her ODI debut following soon after. She made the move to South Australia for the 2017-18 season to join an exciting Scorpions squad. In 2018, Gardner was an integral part of the Australian Women's cricket team, which went all the way to win their fourth ICC World T20 championship. Gardner has been with the Sydney Sixers since the 2015-16 season, contributing both with the bat and the ball. Her spectacular 114 not out off 52 balls still remains to be the highest score in the tournament's history.

She was the first woman to be named Lord’s Taverners Indigenous Player of the Year.
