FOUR! Jason Behrendorff to Eoin Morgan. Leg cutter back of a length, outside off stump on the front foot pulling, well timed in the air under control past long on for 4 runs. The England captain fittingly hits the winning runs to take his team to a World Cup final on home soil. What a performance all round from the hosts and they were deserving winners. There might have been a few nerves around when the openers went out but Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy put all that to bed with a 124 run partnership. From then on it was plain sailing for the captain and Joe Root to knock off the remaining runs. The final is set then. New Zealand and England go head to head on Sunday to see who will be crowned champions for the first time ever. See you then.

OUT! Bowled. Mark Wood to Jason Behrendorff. Reverse Swing-In half volley, outside off stump on the front foot Steer, missed to. Full and straight does the trick. Too quick for Behrendorff and Australia are all out for 223.England finish off what has been a terrific performance with ball in hand. After losing the toss they could only have dreamt of the start they got, restricting Australia to 14-3 with both openers back in the shed. Good fightback shown by Steve Smith and especially Alex Carey after the vicious blow he took to the chin and it seemed Australia would post a decent total. Once the partnership was broken though England began to turn the screw again and Chris Woakes in particular was outstanding along with Jofra Archer.224 to win for England to make the World Cup final. This is going to be a tense chase for everyone involved on both sides.

OUT! Caught. Chris Woakes to Mitchell Starc. Length ball, down leg side on the front foot Slog, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Buttler. Two in two for England. Perfect length to Starc not letting him club the ball down the ground and Woakes finds the edge. His third wicket today in a superb performance.

OUT! Run Out. Chris Woakes to Steven Smith. Off cutter back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot flick, hit body to wicketkeeper, direct hit by Buttler. Brilliant from Buttler. Getting the glove off quickly and picking the right end to have a throw at. Smith is marginally short of his crease but these moments are what win you a game.

OUT! Caught. Adil Rashid to Pat Cummins. Googly length ball, outside off stump on the back foot Steer, outside edge to first slip, by Root. And that is why the slip has been brought in. Cummins opened the face trying to run it down but he got it too fine and Root snaffled it up. Just the performance England wanted from Rashid when it counted.

W
OUT! Caught. Jofra Archer to Glenn Maxwell. Slower ball back of a length, outside off stump no foot movement pushing, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to short extra cover, by Morgan. England keep chipping away at the Aussie line-up and now Smith is left with the bowlers. Good change from Archer to go full after a couple of quick short balls and Maxwell's feet were not moving. Chipped tamely to the England captain who made light work of the catch.

OUT! L.B.W. Adil Rashid to Marcus Stoinis. Googly length ball, outside off stump on the back foot cutting, hit pad to. Two in the over. The googly was tossed up and Stoinis did not pick it until it had pitched, which was too late. Strikes the thigh pad and the appeal from Rashid was loud and long until eventually the finger went up. No reviews left for Australia, although the decision would have stayed.

W
OUT! Caught (Sub). Adil Rashid to Alex Carey. Leg spinner length ball, down leg side down the track flick, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to deep mid wicket. Picked him out in the deep. That is exactly what England needed at this stage with the partnership flourishing. Vince made the catch look easy and that might be the most important thing he has done in an England shirt. Lots of pressure on the middle-order along with Smith to post a total.

W
OUT! Bowled. Chris Woakes to Peter Handscomb. Seaming in length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, inside edge to. Shape away and then movement off the surface. A deadly combination for a bowler, especially when the ball is right on target. Lack of foot movement from Handsomb gets him in trouble with the hands away from the body and the edge deflects back into middle stump.

W
OUT! Caught. Chris Woakes to David Warner. Seaming away back of a length, down leg side on the back foot Fended, outside edge to first slip, by Bairstow. England are on fire. Big wicket of Warner as he has to go for just nine, caught at first slip. Extra bounce and a touch of movement away from the left-hander had him in two minds whether to leave or play. Healthy edge to Bairstow and the Yorkshireman does the rest.

NEW BALL. OUT! L.B.W. Jofra Archer to Aaron Finch. In-swinging length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, hit pad to. Dream first ball from Archer. On the money with a hint of late swing back into Finch, attacking the front pad. A long wait before the finger goes up along with huge cheers from the Edgbaston crowd. Australia lose their review in just the second over.

W
OUT! Caught. Pat Cummins to Jason Roy. Short, outside off stump on the back foot flick, Play and Miss (Leg Side) to wicketkeeper, by Carey. Not the way Roy would have wanted his innings to end. Given out with the umpire and Australia believing he had gloved one down the leg side. Roy asks for the review straight away before the Aussies kindly tell him that England don't have one left. He might be having a word with the match referee at the end of the game.

OUT! L.B.W. Mitchell Starc to Jonny Bairstow. In-swinging length ball, to leg on the front foot working, hit pad to. Something for the Aussies to cheer about. On the money from Starc with a touch of movement back in and beat the inside edge. Trapped on the pads and all three red lights on ball-tracking. Not the best review from Bairstow.
