IPL 2022: Full List of Winners: The Indian Premier League which is also abbreviating as IPL is an annual Indian Twenty20 cricket tournament which was founded in 2008 by the BCCI. Currently IPL known as TATA Indian Premier League for sponsorship reasons. The TATA IPL held in India between April and June of every year after 2008 only the 2nd season of IPL was held in South Africa due to general election in India.
IPL Season 1 Winner Rajasthan Royals – Year 2008
The first season IPL was played in 2008 which was sponsored by DLF India. DLF IPL was started from 18th April 2008 and continue till 1st June 2008. Total 8 teams participated in DLF IPL 2008. Rajasthan Royals & Chennai Super Kings reach on the final match in which match went down to the last ball and Rajasthan Royals defeated Chennai Super Kings in the final to win the title. Yusuf Pathan becomes the Player of the Match while Shane Watson adjudged the player of the tournament.

IPL Season 2 Winner Hyderabad Deccan Chargers Royals – Year 2009
The second season 2 was aired on TV 18 April 2009 and continue till 24 May 2009 all the matches were played in South Africa due to general election in India. The final match was played between Deccan Charges and Royal Challengers Bangalore in which Deccan Charges defeated RCB by 6 wickets and become the emerge winner of IPL Season 2.
IPL Season 3, 4 Winner Chennai Super Kings – Year 2010, 2011
The tournament was won by the Chennai Super Kings by 22 runs and they defeated the Mumbai Indians in the final played at Mumbai. IPL season 4 won by the Chennai Super Kings once again as they have won the previous season as well. The sponsor of the tournament was once again DLF and the final match was played at “M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai” between Chennai Super Kings Vs Royal Challengers Bangalore in this final match CSK defeated RCB by 58 runs.
IPL Season 5 Winner Kolkata Knight Riders – Year 2012
This season the number of teams in the league went from ten to nine with the termination of Kochi Tuskers Kerala. Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders reaches on the finale of IPL 5 where KKR defeated defending champion CSK by 5 wickets.
IPL Season 6 Winner Mumbai Indians – Year 2013
the first time when IPL change its sponsor from DLF to Pepsi that’s why few people called it Pepsi IPL 6. The opening ceremony held at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on 2 April 2013. The final match was played at Eden Gardens between Mumbai Indian Vs Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indian won by 23 runs
IPL Season 7 Winner Kolkata Knight Riders – Year 2014
The tournament featured eight teams, one fewer than in 2013 after the withdrawal of the Pune Warriors India, and was held from 16 April 2014 to 1 June 2014. The final match was played at “M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Chennai” between Kolkata Knight Riders Vs King XI Punjab it was the first time when King XI Punjab reach on the finale but could not won the match however Kolkata won the final match by 3 wickets
IPL Season 8 Winner Mumbai Indians – Year 2015
Season 8 of IPL was played last year 2015 and total 8 teams participated in this season and was held from 08 April 2015 to 24 May 2015. The final match was played at Eden Garden of Kolkata between Mumbai Indians Vs Cehnnai Super Kings in which Mumbai Indians won by 41 runs and become the emerge winner of Pepsi IPL 8.
IPL Season 9 Winner Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) – Year 2016
Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderbad (SRH) become the emerge winner of IPL 2016 season 9 by defeating Royal Challengers Banalore by 8 Runs
IPL Season 9 Winner Mumbai Indians – Year 2017
Mumbai Indians became the 1st team in IPL history to win the title more than two times. They first win was in 2013 and the second in 2015. The victory margin of Mumbai Indians against the Rising Pune Supergiants in the final was just one run. Rohit Sharma, as the captain of Mumbai Indians, was exceptional.
IPL Season 9 Winner Chennai Super Kings – Year 2018
Chennai Super Kings became the IPL 2021 Winner. The Final of IPL 2021 was played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on 15th October 2021 and CSK won the match by 27 runs. The final match was hosted in Dubai and CSK (192/3) beat KKR (165/9) by 27 runs. Harshal Patel from Royal Challengers Bangalore became the purple cap holder in this IPl with 32 wickets. Ruturaj Gaikwad has now become the youngest player to win the IPL orange cup.
IPL Season 9 Winner Mumbai Indians – Year 2019
This is the consecutive second time Mumbai Indians won the IPL title & and overall 5th time. The final match was played between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. MI won this match by 5 wickets. MI also won Paytm Fairplay Award this year.
IPL Season 9 Winner Mumbai Indians – Year 2020
The final of the IPL 2019 again saw the clash of the titans. Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings met again in the finals. The final went down to the last bowl. Shardul Thakur who was hoping for at least one run for the super over failed to counter Malinga’s off-cutter. Thus, Mumbai Indians became the champions for a record 4th time. With this, Mumbai Indians became the most successful team in IPL history and won 4th IPL titles.
IPL Season 9 Winner Chennai Super Kings – Year 2021
Chennai Super Kings become the second team to win more than two trophies of IPL. Veterans Ambati Rayadu and Shane Watson were the backbones of the batting unit. Dhoni, as usual, provided best finishes in most of the games. CSK’s bowling unit was lucky to get inputs from MS Dhoni, the captain and Dwanye Bravo, who led the bowling attack for CSK.
